Arts Exhibition 2009 of Jockey Club Arts for the Disabled Scheme
《Towards Excellence》

 

The Arts Exhibition 2009 of the Jockey Club Arts for the Disabled Scheme has been held from 5 to 30 December 2009 at the Exhibition Gallery of the Shatin Town Hall. The exhibition features more than 800 exhibits, all of which were created by the participants of the School-based Arts Project, Basic Training Programmes and Continuous Training Programmes under the Jockey Club Arts for the Disabled Scheme of this year.

The Exhibition Gallery is divided into different sections.

Artwork Creative Procedures
(a) Touching Line
      Procedures:
(1) Place a color cloth on the floor or on the table
(2) Put the colorful strings on the cloth randomly
(3) Paste the PVC transparency on top of the created pattern, work is done!
(4) We could use our body to feel the texture by touching the surface

(b) Stripped Clothes Workshop
      Procedures:
(1) Prepare a pair of silk socks, old newspaper and stripped clothes
(2) Crumple the newspaper, then put it inside the silk socks until full
(3) Tie the colorful stripped clothes around the silk socks
(4) Dimension of work is variable in order to be creative and fun
(5) It’s done! We could decorate our flat with it!

(c) Rolling Painting
      Procedures:
(1) Principle colors are preferable in this workshop
(2) Squeeze some acrylics on the big square canvas
(3) Each of the participated artists hangs one side of the canvas
(4) Place a wooden ball in the middle of the canvas and start to move the canvas
(5) The wooden ball rolls freely on the canvas
(6) The rolling paths form an interesting pattern and here it comes the rolling painting

(d) The Special Copying Machine
      Procedures:
(1) Protect the table with plastic sheets
(2) Squeeze different poster colors on the plastic sheets
(3) Mix the colors with hands and make any patterns you like
(4) Place paper or T-shirt on top of the colors
(5) Press lightly with hands then open the paper or T-shirt
(6) The color on the table is copied on the paper or T-shirt
(7) A special copy is done!
