Aim

Jockey Club Arts for the Disabled Scheme (the Scheme) is a pilot project with the objective to enhance the development of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the arts and cultural fields.

Through providing support and assistance to PWDs in the development of creative and intellectual potential in the arts and cultural fields, the Scheme aims at helping PWDs to excel through their artistic abilities and perseverance.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has donated $27.71 million for implementation of this pilot project. The Labour and Welfare Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government is responsible for the administration of the Scheme.

 

Objectives

  1. To assist PWDs to develop a life-long interest in arts and culture.
  2. To enhance basic training for PWDs in the arts and cultural fields;
  3. To enrich the cultural life of people in Hong Kong through promoting arts and cultural performances by PWDs.
