The Instrumental Music Training Programme aims at providing instrumental music training to person with disabilities between 6 to 23 years of age. Basic training in Western and Chinese musical instruments as well as musicianship and theory are conducted in small groups. Applicants of this training programme is required to attend the class once in every weeks and should take an admission test, trainees will be subject to an annual assessment.

Applicants will be nominated through Special Schools and ordinary schools implementing integrated education in Hong Kong. Trainees will receive two to five years of instrumental music training provided by the Music Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
